Born in Tehran, Iran, Yasie enjoys many different styles of dancing, but particularly those from her own Persian heritage, and the Caucasus region. Her prior experience is with Iranian folkdance, and most recently she has performed dances from Iran's Kurdish minority at cultural events organized by the Iranian Association of Boston. Yasie's other hobbies include playing tennis, rollerblading, camping, and painting.
